Sex: Unsexed

Mutation: Turquoise

Breed: Green cheek conure

Availability: Ready to go

Rehoming fee: 400

About: This baby is the last one from my december batch. He/she steps up and does have that bitey habit as most green cheeks do. He is very energetic and picks and chooses when he wants to and doesn’t want to be with people. He definitely hasn’t been worked with as much as needed but with time could be a lot tamer than he is. This baby absolutely loves being out of the cage and will bop it’s head when it wants out.

What determines your prices?

I raise a few babies at a time to be able to work with each individual to it’s full extent. I start handling them at 2 weeks old only for about an hour each day. At 3 weeks old I start handling them for 2 hours a day. At 4 weeks old I start training them to be able to teach them tricks! So I start spending at least 3 hours with the babies a day. By the time they are ready to go home I have spent around 100+ hours with each individual baby. I charge for all the time, love and work that goes into raising these babies. Raising a baby is a lot of work to make sure they are healthy, happy, and well trained. So if you would like a baby please understand that it takes a lot of time, dedication, and work. Because of that, it does factor into my pricing. Prices also vary on how many commands/tricks the bird knows. Mutation may also put the price up a bit. Quality of a certain trait will affect the price. When we are discussing a baby I will give you an estimated fee and will update it accordingly. My babies are most definitely not for everyone but those who buy them love them!

What commands are the babies taught?

The babies are taught 2 important commands and 4 tricks! I teach them to step up and down, fly away and to me on command, spin and to give high fives! Not all birds are able to learn all the commands in theit time with me.

What do you feed your birds?

The parakeets eat 40% seeds 40% vegetables 15% pellets 5% fruit while the conures eat 40% vegetables 40% pellets 10% seeds 5% protein 5% fruits. I feed roudybush pellets and Sleek & Sassy seeds. I give them vegetable water with some herbs and no additives.

Conures chop

Budgies dry mix

Do you hand feed the babies?

I will wait until the babies reach 2-4 weeks (depending on the type of bird) before I start to hand feed them. Sometimes the birds parents will reject them and if I don’t have a bird that can foster some babies I will take them before then.

How does holding a bird work?

I do not require a deposit for any birds, but I would greatly appreciate some prior communication if you no longer wish to adopt it. This will allow us to offer the opportunity to someone else who is interested in taking care of these babies. The birds should be picked up when they are weaned. If you require additional time to arrange the pick-up, please inform me in advance. However, please note that a fee of $5 per day will be charged starting from the 4th day I hold the bird for you.

Can I visit your aviary?

I am a private breeder located in Woodburn, Oregon. I breed our birds from our home so for my safety along with my family's and birds we only meet in public places. I post plenty of pictures and videos on my instagram and share much more with the birds future owners. Sadly visiting our aviary is not an option.

How is the transaction done?

Once we are done talking about the bird we make our plans. I like my birds to go to their home in the safest most comfortable way! I take your bird in a travel cage and you take a travel cage… I transfer the bird from my cage to yours. We say our goodbyes and off they go to their home. I know this system is not the best it is definitely a work in progress and something we are looking to better.

About me

My name is Briza! I was raised around my parents cockatiels which they had way before I was born and in December of 2017 they sadly passed. When they passed we had a break from owning birds but we missed having them around. The year 2020 came and we decided it was time to own birds again! That’s when I started breeding birds! We absolutely love both the parents and all the babies we raise. We make sure to take the best care of all the birds and we are always happy to hear about the babies in their new homes. Even when the birds aren’t in our care anymore we still care about them and want the absolute best for them. ❤️
